Day 1: Transfer to Ávila
After breakfast, our driver will take you on a pleasant trip to Ávila in a fully equipped Mercedes Vito.
On the way to Ávila, we will make our first stop at San Lorenzo del Escorial and the Cuelgamuros Valley (formerly the Valley of the Fallen). The former is the monumental palace built by the Spanish king who ruled the world. Decisions affecting half the world were made from there, governing the Spanish Empire. The latter was built after the Spanish Civil War to commemorate the fallen soldiers. This is a highly controversial site, as it was built by defeated prisoners for their redemption. Dictator Francisco Franco was buried there, and his remains were recently moved to a private cemetery in accordance with the new Law of Historical Memory, which aimed to restore the dignity of all those who fell in the war and suffered reprisals during General Franco's dictatorship.
Day 2: Avila - Medina del Campo - Rueda - Arévalo
After having your breakfast in the Parador will take you to visit one of the oldest and most awarded wineries in the region. You will taste not only their unique grapes but also their restaurant, managed by one of the best chefs in the world with several Michelin stars.
During the short drive we will visit perfectly maintained castles and the House-Museum of Queen Isabel la Catolica, where you will be embedded in the ancient world prior to the Spanish Reconquista and the discovery of the “new world”
In Medina del Campo, in addition to the imposing and perfectly preserved castle, you'll visit the Isabella the Catholic Museum, where you can see her deathbed. The museum is located in the city's Plaza Mayor, where you can also see the church and the commemorative plaque of the first and oldest bill of exchange issued in the world. In the Plaza Mayor itself, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious regional wine in a tapas bar.

Here we will enjoy the tradition of a Castilian lunch cooked by their inhabitants exclusively for us.
